Files and local processing

All File Converter accesses files and folders you select to convert images, audio and video, process PDFs, manage archives, and inspect files. File contents and metadata are processed on your device. We do not upload your files for conversion or share their contents with advertising providers.

Output files are saved to your chosen destination. Cloud storage, backups, or sharing through other apps are governed by the relevant providers’ privacy policies.

Information we handle

The app stores local preferences and information needed for file operations, such as conversion history. File access is used to perform the tasks you request. You can manage permissions through Android settings.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you provide. We use this information to respond and resolve your request.

Advertising

Versions that include Google AdMob may collect and share advertising and device information, including IP address, approximate location inferred from it, advertising or other identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostics. This information supports advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention and may be processed outside your country.

Advertising data is separate from your conversion files. Google describes its practices in its Privacy Policy and partner-app disclosure.

Where required, we obtain consent for advertising processing and provide controls to review or withdraw it. You can also manage advertising identifiers through Android settings. Non-personalized ads may still involve data collection.

Retention and deletion

Your saved files remain until you or your storage provider delete them. You can remove local app data through Android settings. Uninstalling may leave exported files and backups intact.

We keep support correspondence only as necessary to resolve requests, meet legal obligations, or handle disputes. Advertising providers retain information according to their policies. Removing the app does not automatically delete information they already hold.

Security and your rights

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information we handle, but no system is completely secure.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain your information, object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact us to make a request. We cannot remotely delete files stored only on your device.

Children’s privacy

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our practices change, revise the effective date, and provide notice or obtain consent where required.
