Privacy Policy for Home Inventory - Ledger App
Privacy Policy for Home Inventory - Ledger App
Effective date: October 10, 2026
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Home Inventory - Ledger App (“the App”) is provided by Tinker Lane Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how information is used and stored, when information may be shared, and the choices available to you.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information You Add to the App
The App allows you to create and manage records about your belongings. Depending on the features you use, these records may include:
Item names, descriptions, categories, rooms, status, and condition
Manufacturer, model, and serial number
Purchase date, purchase price, and estimated value
Item photographs
Receipts and other documents
Warranty and maintenance contract details
Service schedules and notes
Subscription provider, plan, billing cycle, renewal price, and trial dates
An optional payment method description, such as a card type and last digits
Reminder settings and other app preferences
This information is entered or selected by you. Inventory content is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
The App is not a payment processor and does not require full payment card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, or card security codes. You should not enter this information into item or subscription notes.
2. Local Storage
Your home inventory records, photographs, receipts, documents, warranty information, subscription records, and preferences are stored on your device.
Tinker Lane Studios does not operate a server that receives or stores this locally saved inventory content. We cannot view or recover locally stored records if they are deleted or the device is lost.
Depending on your Android device and backup settings, app data may be included in a device backup or cloud backup managed by your operating-system provider. Such backups are controlled by the device platform and its provider, not by Tinker Lane Studios.
3. Device Permissions and Features
The App may request access to certain device capabilities only when needed for features you choose to use.
Camera, photos, and files
Camera or media access may be used to:
Photograph inventory items
Capture receipts or documents
Scan supported barcodes
Select existing images or files
Create and save exported reports
The App accesses only the content you capture or select through these features. Selected content becomes part of your locally stored inventory.
Notifications
With your permission, the App may schedule local notifications for warranty expiry, subscription renewals, free-trial deadlines, service dates, or other reminders.
You can disable notifications through the App or your Android device settings. Disabling notifications does not delete the associated records.
Biometric authentication and device PIN
If you enable App Lock, the App may use Android’s system authentication interface. Biometric templates and your device PIN are handled by Android and are not provided to Tinker Lane Studios. The App receives only the authentication result needed to unlock access.
Phone and external applications
If you select a saved support number or external link, the App may open your device’s dialer, browser, email application, or sharing interface. No call, message, or file is sent unless you choose to continue through that external application.
4. Reports, Exports, and Sharing
The App may let you create CSV files, PDF reports, warranty summaries, or other exports containing information from your inventory.
Exporting or sharing is initiated by you. After a file leaves the App, it may be stored or processed by the destination you select, such as local storage, email, messaging applications, cloud storage, or another service. The privacy practices of those destinations are governed by their respective providers.
Deleting an item inside the App does not automatically delete copies you previously exported or shared.
5. Advertising and Google AdMob
The App may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. If AdMob is enabled in the version of the App you use, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and participating advertising partners may automatically collect or receive information such as:
IP address
Advertising ID or other app and device identifiers
App identifier and version
Device model, operating system, language, and general settings
General location inferred from the IP address
Advertisement impressions, clicks, and interactions
Diagnostic, performance, and fraud-prevention information
Depending on your region, consent choices, account settings, and applicable law, this information may be used to provide personalized or non-personalized advertising, limit repeated advertisements, measure advertising performance, and detect fraud or abuse.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or technologies that perform similar functions on mobile devices, including advertising identifiers, IP addresses, SDK storage, and related signals.
We do not intentionally provide your inventory descriptions, photographs, receipts, documents, serial numbers, warranty records, or subscription records to AdMob for advertising purposes.

Where required, the App may present a consent or privacy-options message before requesting personalized advertising. You may also be able to change advertising choices through the App, your Android settings, or Google’s advertising controls. Non-personalized advertisements may still use limited information for delivery, measurement, frequency control, security, and fraud prevention.
6. Support Communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you voluntarily provide, which may include:
Your email address
Your name, if included
The contents of your message
Screenshots, diagnostic details, or attachments you choose to send
We use this information to respond to your request, investigate reported problems, maintain support records, protect the App, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Support email is processed through the email service used by Tinker Lane Studios. Do not send sensitive inventory documents, full payment details, passwords, or government identification unless specifically necessary and requested through an appropriate secure method.
7. How We Use Information
Information handled through the App may be used to:
Provide inventory, warranty, subscription, reminder, and reporting features
Save your preferences
Authenticate access when App Lock is enabled
Generate exports requested by you
Display and measure advertisements when AdMob is enabled
Diagnose problems and respond to support enquiries
Prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents
Meet legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your locally stored home inventory content.
8. When Information May Be Shared
Your locally stored inventory content is shared only when you choose to export it, send it, open it in another application, or otherwise direct the App to share it.
Information may also be processed by:
Google AdMob and advertising partners when advertising is enabled
Android and Google Play services required to distribute or operate the App
Applications or storage services you select for an export
Our email provider when you contact support
Authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by applicable law or is reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security
Third-party services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored inventory data remains on your device until you delete individual records, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App. The exact effect of uninstalling may depend on your device and backup configuration.
You are responsible for deleting exported copies from the locations where you saved or shared them.
Support communications are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve issues, maintain appropriate business records, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of support information we hold by contacting us.
Advertising information collected by Google or its partners is retained according to their respective privacy policies and retention practices.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App’s design to protect information under our control. The App may offer an optional lock using Android’s biometric or device authentication features.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, device PIN, backups, and exported files. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended as a general household organization tool and is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a Tinker Lane Studios server. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
If advertising is enabled, age-related advertising restrictions and consent requirements will be applied as required by applicable law and Google’s policies.
12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection.
Most inventory information is stored only on your device and can be viewed, edited, or deleted directly in the App. Because we do not receive that content, we generally cannot access or delete it remotely.
For support information held by us, you may submit a privacy request using the contact address below. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Advertising preferences may be managed through an in-app privacy-options screen when available, your Android privacy settings, or Google Ad Settings.
13. International Processing
Google, advertising partners, email providers, and services you select for exports may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable legal safeguards.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change.
The updated policy will include a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its store listing where appropriate.
